Bright, deep ruby-red. Sappy aromas of raspberry and dark chocolate. Lush, thick and round, but with pungent minerality and firm acids giving clarity to the wine's strong fruit. Very long on the finish, with chewy but fine tannins. Not particularly pristine on the back end, and in need of the imminent racking.
