The rich, succulent and suave flavors are finer but less saline while delivering excellent depth and persistence on the energetic, precise and youthfully austere finale. This needs to develop better depth but the underlying material appears to be present for that to happen. Outstanding. Drink 2032+. “

The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Cherbaudes is brilliant, mingling aromas of sweet berries and cherries with notions of licorice, rose petals and spices. Medium to full-bodied, ample and layered, it's fleshy and concentrated, with supple tannins and a seamless, complete profile.
